What is the Individual / Partnership Client Form?
It’s our new-client onboarding form for individuals and partnerships. It gathers the details we need — your personal information, Tax File Number, contact details and income information — so we can set you up as a client and start work on your tax return or accounts.
Who should complete this form?
Anyone engaging Ideal Business Group for the first time as an individual or partnership — whether you’re an employee, sole trader, investor, or part of a partnership. It’s the first step in getting your file started with us.
What information will I need to provide?
You’ll need your personal details (name, date of birth and address), your Tax File Number, current contact details, and basic information about your income and any deductions. Partnerships should also have each partner’s details on hand.
How do partnerships complete the form?
Each partner should provide their individual details, and the partnership’s shared information can be submitted together. If you’re unsure what’s required for your structure, our team is happy to guide you.
Is my personal information secure?
Yes. We treat your personal and financial information as strictly confidential and handle it in line with Australian privacy requirements. Your details are only ever used to provide the services you’ve engaged us for.
How long does the form take to complete?
Most clients complete it in around 10–15 minutes, provided you have your Tax File Number and income details handy.
What happens after I submit the form?
One of our team members will review your details and get in touch to confirm the next steps — whether that’s booking an appointment, requesting any supporting documents, or beginning work on your return.
Do I need a Tax File Number (TFN) to complete the form?
Your TFN allows us to manage and lodge your tax affairs correctly. If you don’t have one yet, let us know and we can help you apply.
What if my details change or I make a mistake?
Just let our team know and we’ll update your file. Because your details need to match ATO records, we’ll always confirm everything with you before lodging anything.
